Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of loan applicants, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow projections.
- Assess credit risk by analyzing industry trends, market conditions, and macroeconomic factors.
- Prepare detailed credit appraisal reports and proposals for presentation to the Credit Committee.
- Monitor existing credit portfolios to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate actions.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and lending guidelines.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers to structure appropriate credit facilities that meet client needs while managing bank risk.
- Engage in periodic client visits and due diligence activities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial products, credit regulations, and economic developments.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Credit Analyst or similar role in a financial institution.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial ratios.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
