As a Fertilizer Sales Agent, you will be the face of Notore, building strong relationships with agricultural stakeholders and expanding our market reach. Your primary goal will be to drive sales, achieve ambitious targets, and ensure customer satisfaction through expert product knowledge and exceptional service. This role is commission-based, offering an exciting opportunity for uncapped earning potential directly tied to your sales performance. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing a portfolio of clients, conducting product demonstrations, and providing valuable insights to farmers on optimal fertilizer usage for various crops. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets for fertilizer products within the assigned territory.
  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new customers, including farmers, farm cooperatives, and agro-input dealers.
  • Maintain and nurture strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Conduct regular field visits to farms and agro-dealers, providing product information, demonstrations, and technical support on fertilizer application.
  • Educate customers on the benefits and proper usage of Notore’s range of fertilizer products to maximize crop yield and profitability.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and adapt sales strategies.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and activity plans to management.
  • Participate in agricultural exhibitions, trade shows, and farmer outreach programs to promote Notore products and brand.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing and technical teams to align sales efforts with overall company objectives.
  • Manage client accounts, including order processing, delivery coordination, and payment collection in line with company policies.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the agricultural inputs sector (fertilizers, seeds, agrochemicals).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet sales targets.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Resilience, persistence, and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Agriculture, Agronomy, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of local agricultural practices, crops, and farming seasons in Rivers State.
  • Existing network within the agricultural community (farmers, cooperatives, agro-dealers).
  • Fluency in local languages in addition to English.
