Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages from company vehicles, trailers, and conveyor belts safely and efficiently.
- Scan packages accurately using handheld devices and ensure proper documentation.
- Sort packages by destination, adhering to established procedures and routing guidelines.
- Lift, push, pull, carry, and place packages weighing up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 75 lbs. occasionally with assistance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Operate material handling equipment safely after receiving proper training (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
- Inspect packages for damage and report any irregularities.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Basic literacy skills (ability to read and understand package labels and safety instructions).
- Reliable transportation to and from the work facility.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or physically demanding role.
- Experience using handheld scanning devices.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
