Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cycle counts and physical inventory counts of packages, supplies, and equipment.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions to maintain accuracy.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the company's warehouse management system (WMS) and other internal databases.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for process improvement.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and labeling of all inventoried items according to company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in receiving and shipping processes, verifying quantities against purchase orders, manifests, and system data.
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse, logistics, and management teams to optimize inventory flow and storage solutions.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, actively promoting and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Support periodic internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as requested.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and efficiently, if certified.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (2+ years) in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a similar logistics role.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with specific FedEx internal systems or similar large-scale Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) platforms.
- Certification to operate various material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck, order picker).
- Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles applied in a warehouse or inventory setting.
- Prior experience working in a FedEx or similar large-scale logistics or distribution environment.
