Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch drivers and vehicles for timely pick-ups and deliveries.
- Monitor driver routes and progress using advanced tracking systems and communication tools.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with drivers regarding schedules, routes, and special instructions.
- Address and resolve operational issues, delays, or emergencies promptly as they arise.
- Optimize routes and schedules to improve efficiency, reduce operational costs, and meet delivery deadlines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of dispatch activities, vehicle movements, and delivery statuses.
- Ensure strict compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Provide real-time updates to management and customer service on delivery status and potential issues.
- Manage driver availability, assignments, and ensure adequate staffing levels for daily operations.
- Process and document necessary paperwork and digital forms for daily logistical activities.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in dispatching or logistics coordination, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
