Job Description

Sproule Farms Ltd. is seeking dedicated Farm Workers to join our team in Pincher Creek, Alberta. As a Farm Worker, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of crop cultivation, livestock management, and general farm maintenance. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general farm duties, including planting, cultivating, irrigating, and harvesting crops (e.g., grain, hay, forage).
  • Assist with livestock care, including feeding, watering, cleaning pens, monitoring animal health, and assisting with calving/lambing (if applicable).
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment such as tractors, seeders, cultivators, and harvesting equipment (training provided as needed).
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm buildings, fences, and other infrastructure.
  • Load and unload agricultural products and supplies.
  • Clean and prepare fields for planting and post-harvest.
  • Monitor crop growth and identify potential issues such as pests or diseases.
  • Adhere strictly to farm safety protocols and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient farm operations.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the farm management.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions (e.g., lifting heavy objects, bending, standing for long periods).
