Key Responsibilities
- Perform various tasks related to crop cultivation, including planting, seeding, irrigating, fertilizing, and harvesting.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment such as tractors, seeders, cultivators, sprayers, and combines, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Assist with livestock care, including feeding, watering, bedding, and general animal welfare, if applicable to specific farm sections.
- Conduct general farm maintenance, including fence repair, building upkeep, and cleaning of barns, sheds, and equipment.
- Monitor crop and soil conditions, reporting any anomalies or pest infestations to supervisors.
- Handle, sort, and package harvested produce for storage or shipment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and farm policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet production targets.
- Perform other duties as assigned by farm management.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of agricultural practices (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Punctuality and commitment to attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working on a farm or in an agricultural setting (6+ months).
- Experience operating farm machinery (e.g., tractor driving).
- Basic English communication skills.
- Valid driver's license (Class 5 or equivalent).
- First Aid/CPR certification.
