Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor various production machines (e.g., CNC machines, presses, grinders) according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Load and unload materials and parts onto machines, ensuring correct positioning and alignment.
  • Perform in-process quality checks and measurements using precision instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Monitor machine performance, identify minor issues, and report complex problems to supervisors or maintenance staff.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations.
  • Complete production logs, reports, and other necessary documentation accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimise production flow and troubleshoot issues.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including quality management systems (e.g., AS9100).
  • Assist with basic machine maintenance tasks as required.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operations.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.

  • Previous experience (6+ months) in a manufacturing, production, or factory environment.

  • Knowledge of aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100) is a plus.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry and machine interface.
