Key Responsibilities
- Lead engaging and informative tours for groups of varying sizes and demographics across Calabar, focusing on history, culture, and local attractions.
- Share in-depth knowledge and captivating stories about Calabar's landmarks, traditions, local cuisine, and the significance of areas like Ika Ika Oqua.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all tour participants throughout the duration of the tour, adhering to all company safety protocols.
- Manage tour logistics, including scheduling, route planning, transportation coordination, and adherence to timeframes.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests promptly and professionally.
- Adapt tour content and pace to suit the group's interests, energy levels, and unexpected situations.
- Promote local businesses and artisans where appropriate, contributing positively to the local economy.
- Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude, fostering an enjoyable and memorable experience for all guests.
- Continuously update knowledge on Calabar's history, current events, and new attractions to keep tours fresh and relevant.
- Collect feedback from guests to help improve tour quality and participant satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and public speaking skills
- Deep knowledge of Calabar's history, culture, and geography, particularly around Ika Ika Oqua
