As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for providing both private hire services, catering to individual client bookings, and operating on designated public transportation routes within Independence City, Portmore, and wider Saint Catherine. Your day will involve safely transporting passengers to their destinations, managing your schedule effectively to meet demand for both pre-booked private hires and regular route services, and diligently collecting fares. This includes assisting passengers with luggage, maintaining the impeccable cleanliness and operational readiness of your assigned vehicle, and providing helpful local information when requested.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport passengers to their destinations following designated routes or private hire instructions.
- Adhere strictly to all Jamaican traffic laws, road safety regulations, and Public Passenger Vehicle (PPV) licensing requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a polite, professional, and helpful demeanor at all times.
- Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of the assigned vehicle, performing daily checks.
- Accurately collect fares, issue receipts, and manage payment transactions.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding passenger pick-ups, drop-offs, and any operational issues.
- Possess and utilize an in-depth knowledge of Portmore, Independence City, and surrounding areas, including optimal routes and local points of interest.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or incidents promptly to management.
- Manage time effectively to balance pre-booked private hires with scheduled route services.
- Ensure passenger comfort and safety throughout the journey.
Required Skills
- Valid Jamaican Driver's License (Class 4 or 5)
- Valid Public Passenger Vehicle (PPV) License
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience (taxi, bus, courier)
- Excellent defensive driving skills and a clean driving record
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Extensive geographical knowledge of Portmore, Independence City, and Saint Catherine parish
- Punctuality and reliability
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Basic vehicle inspection and maintenance knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Experience with electronic dispatch systems or ride-hailing apps
- Bilingual (e.g., English and Spanish)
