As Executive Housekeeper, you will be instrumental in upholding our reputation for excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the entire housekeeping team, including supervisors, room attendants, and public area cleaners.
  • Develop and implement robust cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all hotel areas (guest rooms, public spaces, meeting rooms, leisure facilities, and back-of-house).
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure strict adherence to brand standards and health & safety regulations.
  • Manage departmental budget, control expenses, and optimize resource allocation for linen, amenities, and cleaning supplies.
  • Oversee inventory management, ordering, and stock control of all housekeeping provisions.
  • Develop and deliver ongoing training programs for new and existing staff, focusing on cleaning techniques, product knowledge, safety protocols, and guest service excellence.
  • Handle guest requests and feedback related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally, ensuring complete satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Front Office, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage departments to ensure seamless operations and timely room readiness.
  • Implement and monitor sustainability initiatives within the housekeeping department to reduce environmental impact.
  • Manage staff rostering, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and recruitment for the housekeeping team.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in housekeeping management within a hotel or resort environment.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with a proven track record of managing, motivating, and developing a large team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining impeccable standards of cleanliness.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with staff and guests.
  • Proficiency in budget management, cost control, and inventory management.
  • Thorough knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations pertinent to the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
  • Familiarity with hospitality property management systems (PMS), ideally Opera or similar.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel or resort property.
  • Certification in First Aid or Fire Safety.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
