Pullman Lubumbashi Grand Karavia seeks a creative and highly organized professional to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for orchestrating a diverse range of events, from high-profile corporate conferences and gala dinners to breathtaking weddings and intimate celebrations. You will manage the entire event lifecycle, from initial client consultation and concept development to meticulous planning, budget management, vendor coordination, and flawless on-site execution. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to define event goals, themes, and budgets for corporate and wedding events.
- Develop comprehensive event proposals, including detailed timelines, venue layouts, catering menus, and décor plans.
- Manage all logistical aspects of event planning, from vendor selection and negotiation to contract management and payment schedules.
- Coordinate with internal departments (catering, audiovisual, reservations, housekeeping) to ensure seamless event execution.
- Oversee on-site event setup, management, and breakdown, ensuring adherence to quality standards and client specifications.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues during the planning and execution phases.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and analyze event success metrics.
- Maintain strong client relationships, fostering repeat business and positive referrals.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, event technologies, and competitor activities to continually enhance our offerings.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as an Event Planner, specifically with corporate and wedding events.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills (English and French proficiency required).
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure.
- Creative thinking and proactive problem-solving capabilities.
- A keen eye for detail and unwavering commitment to high-quality execution.
Preferred Qualifications
