Key Responsibilities

  • Execute manual test cases, identifying and documenting defects with clear, concise bug reports.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements and features.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning sessions, contributing to team discussions.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of test plans and test strategies under guidance.
  • Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Verify bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved effectively without introducing new problems.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
  • Learn and apply new testing tools and technologies as required by project needs.

Required Skills

  • A foundational understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate issues clearly.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with common operating systems and applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Some exposure to programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#) or scripting.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Previous experience with a personal project or academic assignment involving testing.
