Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare samples for analytical testing according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform basic laboratory tasks, including glassware cleaning, media preparation, and reagent stock management.
  • Assist laboratory technicians and scientists with routine analytical procedures and instrument operation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace at all times, adhering strictly to health and safety protocols.
  • Accurately record and document experimental data, observations, and results in logbooks and electronic systems.
  • Monitor and maintain laboratory supplies and inventory, ensuring availability of necessary materials.
  • Perform calibration and maintenance checks on laboratory equipment under supervision.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance laboratory skills and knowledge.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to follow instructions meticulously and adhere to strict protocols.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.

  • Understanding of basic laboratory safety practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed a science-related vocational program or an Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
