As an Entry Level Architect at CETA, you will be an integral part of our design and construction teams, working on diverse projects ranging from residential and commercial buildings to public infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior architects in the preparation of architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and details using CAD software.
- Contribute to the development of design concepts and presentations for various projects.
- Conduct site visits to gather information, assess conditions, and monitor construction progress under supervision.
- Assist in the research and selection of building materials, systems, and finishes.
- Prepare and organize project documentation, including specifications, reports, and schedules.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including structural engineers, M&E engineers, and quantity surveyors.
- Participate in client meetings and project discussions as required.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain project files and archives systematically.
- Continuously seek to improve design knowledge and technical skills.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant architectural design software (e.g., SketchUp, Revit).
- Strong understanding of architectural principles, theories, and construction methods.
- Excellent graphic and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Mozambique.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- A strong portfolio demonstrating design skills and academic projects.
- Previous internship or work experience in an architectural firm or construction company.
- Familiarity with BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit).
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles.
