Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks, including accurate data entry and meticulous ledger maintenance.
  • Support the preparation of various financial statements and comprehensive management reports.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile other crucial financial documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions with precision and timeliness.
  • Assist diligently in period-end (month-end and year-end) closing procedures.
  • Maintain highly organized and accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Actively learn, understand, and apply core accounting principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Collaborate effectively with other internal departments to gather and verify financial information.
  • Support external and internal audit preparations by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Contribute proactively to continuous process improvement initiatives within the finance department.

Required Skills

  • Fluency in both Portuguese and English (written and spoken) is essential.
  • Strong foundational understanding of basic accounting principles (acquired through academic studies).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and unwavering accuracy in all tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced skills in Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and robust problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and effective time management skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
