Job Description
We are seeking an analytical and highly motivated Data Analyst to join our team in Evanston, Illinois, for an immediate start. As an Enbridge Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming complex data sets into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions across various operational and commercial functions. This position requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and transform large datasets from various sources using SQL and other programming languages.
- Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, engineering, commercial) to understand data requirements and deliver tailored analytical solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels, both technical and non-technical.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Support ad-hoc data requests and analytical projects as needed to support strategic initiatives.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Strong experience with data visualization and Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience explaining complex data to diverse audiences
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas)
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with statistical analysis and data modeling principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
