Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets related to economic indicators, financial markets, and industry trends.
- Prepare detailed economic reports, presentations, and market commentaries for internal stakeholders.
- Conduct research on macroeconomic developments, policy changes, and their potential impact on Bank Leumi's operations and clients.
- Support the development and maintenance of economic models and forecasting tools.
- Monitor and interpret local and global economic news and financial market developments.
- Collaborate with various departments, including risk management, investment banking, and retail banking, to provide economic insights.
- Contribute to ad-hoc research projects and special assignments as required by senior economists.
- Present findings clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written format, to team members and management.
- Continuously learn and stay updated on economic theory, methodologies, and relevant software tools.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Econometrics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong understanding of macroeconomic principles, microeconomic theory, and statistical methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
