As an E-commerce Merchandising Planner, you will be responsible for developing and executing merchandising strategies that enhance product visibility, drive sales, and improve customer satisfaction across our digital platforms. You will work cross-functionally with category management, marketing, inventory, and operations teams to ensure our online product assortment, promotions, and content are optimized for performance and alignment with overall business objectives.

Your day-to-day will involve analyzing sales data, website traffic, and customer behavior to identify trends and opportunities. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive e-commerce merchandising strategies to maximize online sales, conversion rates, and average order value.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute online promotional activities, campaigns, and new product launches, ensuring alignment with marketing calendars and inventory availability.
  • Manage product categorization, attribute tagging, search optimization, and visual merchandising to enhance product discoverability and presentation on the website.
  • Analyze e-commerce performance data, including sales, traffic, conversion rates, and customer behavior, to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with Category Management to ensure optimal online assortment, pricing strategies, and product lifecycle management.
  • Work with the Digital Marketing team to ensure seamless integration of promotional messages and content across all digital channels.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify industry best practices and emerging trends in e-commerce merchandising.
  • Ensure all product content (descriptions, images, videos) is accurate, compelling, and consistent with brand guidelines.
  • Monitor website health, user experience, and merchandising effectiveness, making recommendations for continuous optimization.
  • Contribute to the development of A/B testing strategies for merchandising elements to improve online performance.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in e-commerce merchandising, digital category management, or a similar role, preferably within retail or grocery.
  • Proven experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify Plus, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing principles and their impact on e-commerce performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A keen eye for detail and aesthetics, with a strong understanding of visual merchandising principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, E-commerce, or a related field.
  • Experience with A/B testing tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices for product content and categorization.
  • Prior experience in the grocery or CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI principles as they apply to e-commerce.
