Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the e-commerce strategy, aligning with overall business objectives to drive online sales and market share.
  • Oversee all aspects of the online store, including product listings, content management, promotions, and customer experience.
  • Lead the integration of our e-commerce platform with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and internal warehousing systems.
  • Manage and optimize the end-to-end logistics process for online orders, from warehousing and picking to packing and last-mile delivery.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, average order value, customer acquisition cost, and delivery times, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns (SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing) to attract and retain online customers.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, IT, operations, and customer service, to ensure a cohesive online strategy.
  • Manage e-commerce budget, forecasting sales, and optimizing spending for maximum ROI.
  • Ensure compliance with all e-commerce regulations, data privacy laws, and payment gateway standards.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions to enhance website functionality, logistics efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an E-commerce Manager or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful online initiatives.
  • In-depth knowledge of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and CRM systems.
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing channels (SEO, SEM, PPC, social media, email marketing) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Demonstrable experience with logistics and supply chain management in an e-commerce context, particularly last-mile delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership qualities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Certifications in E-commerce, Digital Marketing, or Project Management.
  • Experience working with Nigerian logistics providers and understanding of local delivery challenges.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems (IMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Previous experience in the retail or consumer goods industry in Nigeria.
