Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently and safely deliver grocery orders to customer residences and businesses using an e-bike, adhering to established routes and delivery schedules.
- Verify order accuracy, ensure proper packaging, and handle products with care to maintain quality and freshness during transit.
- Provide exceptional customer service at every stop, addressing customer inquiries politely and professionally.
- Process payments and complete delivery confirmations using a mobile device or company-provided technology.
- Perform routine pre-and post-trip inspections of the e-bike and associated equipment, reporting any maintenance issues promptly to ensure operational readiness.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and food safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle (e-bike) and uphold a professional personal appearance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, store teams, and customers regarding delivery status, special instructions, or potential delays.
- Assist with in-store tasks such as order picking, packing, or staging during downtimes or as needed to support overall store operations.
Required Skills
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Valid state-issued driver's license or equivalent government-issued ID for age verification and background check purposes.
- Proficient and safe e-bike riding skills, comfortable navigating diverse urban environments.
- Strong understanding of Boston area geography, including street navigation and local traffic patterns.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift, and to remain physically active.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to team success.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions (rain, heat, cold) that are typical for Boston.
