Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver and pick up packages on a designated route.
- Ensure all packages are scanned, documented, and delivered accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety procedures at all times.
- Load and unload packages from the vehicle, often requiring lifting and carrying.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance.
- Handle cash and process payments as required for certain deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding route status or issues.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle.
- Represent UPS professionally and positively in the community.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for at least three years.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with GPS devices and route navigation tools.
- Physical stamina to handle demanding daily tasks in various weather conditions.
