Key Responsibilities
- Collect food and grocery orders from partner establishments across Cambridge.
- Safely and efficiently transport orders to customer locations within designated delivery zones.
- Ensure timely delivery while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service, interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage delivery logistics using the Deliveroo rider app, including accepting orders and navigating optimal routes.
- Handle payments and ensure accurate order fulfilment where applicable.
- Communicate effectively with customers, restaurants, and Deliveroo support when necessary.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards during order transportation.
- Represent Deliveroo positively in the community, providing an exceptional delivery experience.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in English, with good verbal communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Cambridge city roads, landmarks, and geography.
- Access to a reliable bicycle, scooter, or motorcycle (and relevant insurance/licences).
- A smartphone (iOS or Android) with data access to use the Deliveroo rider app.
- Ability to carry out physical tasks, including lifting and carrying delivery bags.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities to meet delivery deadlines.
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing excellent service.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK (proof of right to work required).
- Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic.
