GIG Logistics is expanding its operations in Lekki Phase 1, Victoria Island, and we’re actively seeking dedicated and energetic Dispatch Riders to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages, documents, and other items to designated locations within Lekki Phase 1, Victoria Island, and other parts of Lagos.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Ensure timely delivery of all assigned packages, meeting designated deadlines.
- Verify the contents of packages against delivery notes before dispatch and upon delivery.
- Obtain necessary signatures and complete all required paperwork accurately for proof of delivery.
- Maintain the assigned motorcycle in good working condition, reporting any faults or maintenance needs promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch coordinators, clients, and colleagues regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Handle packages with care to prevent damage during transit.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Perform routine checks on the motorcycle (fuel, oil, tires, brakes) before each shift.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a dispatch rider or delivery agent.
- Valid Rider's Permit/Driver's License (Class A).
- Thorough knowledge of Lagos routes, especially Lekki Phase 1 and Victoria Island.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of responsibility and reliability.
- Ability to read and understand maps or use GPS navigation systems.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- A strong commitment to road safety and adherence to traffic regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of SSCE/WAEC qualification.
- Familiarity with various types of packages and handling requirements.
- Basic knowledge of motorcycle maintenance.
- Previous experience with a reputable logistics company.
