Job Description

Live Nation Entertainment is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Sales to join our Los Angeles team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a role that offers significant autonomy and flexible hours to manage a demanding portfolio. As a Director of Sales, you will be instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies, fostering key client relationships, and expanding our market presence within the vibrant entertainment landscape. You will lead high-level negotiations, identify new business opportunities across various Live Nation verticals, and work collaboratively with internal teams to craft bespoke solutions that meet client objectives and exceed sales targets. Beyond direct sales, this role involves strategic market analysis, competitive positioning, and the continuous refinement of our value proposition. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets across Live Nation's diverse portfolio.
  • Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities with major corporations, brands, and agencies.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Negotiate complex deals, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes and adherence to company policies.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform sales strategies and product development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and legal teams to ensure seamless execution of client programs.
  • Prepare and present compelling sales proposals, presentations, and reports to prospective and existing clients.
  • Represent Live Nation at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Manage sales pipelines, forecast sales accurately, and report on key performance indicators to senior leadership.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or directorial role.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and driving significant revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Deep understanding of the live entertainment, sports, or media industries.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with flexible working hours.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills to identify opportunities and solve problems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience with corporate sponsorships, experiential marketing, or large-scale event sales.
  • Established network of contacts within the entertainment or advertising industries.
