As our Digital Marketer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive digital marketing strategies that align with Vodacom Congo’s business objectives. Your primary focus will be on enhancing our search engine optimization (SEO) performance to ensure maximum organic reach and discoverability. This includes conducting thorough keyword research, optimizing website content and structure, managing backlink profiles, and staying abreast of the latest SEO algorithms and best practices. Beyond SEO, you will spearhead various digital campaigns across multiple channels, including social media, search engine marketing (SEM), email marketing, and display advertising. You’ll craft compelling ad copy, design engaging visuals, and manage campaign budgets to achieve optimal return on investment.

This role requires a keen analytical mind, as you will continuously monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of all digital marketing activities using tools like Google Analytics, SEO dashboards, and social media insights. You will identify trends, derive actionable insights, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize future campaigns and strategies. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with the sales, product development, and local marketing teams to ensure consistency in messaging and to support specific regional initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies, including keyword research, on-page, off-page, and technical SEO optimizations.
  • Manage and optimize digital advertising campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn), and display networks.
  • Create engaging content for various digital channels, including website copy, blog posts, social media updates, and email newsletters.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of all digital marketing activities using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console).
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.
  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
  • Manage email marketing campaigns, including list segmentation, content creation, A/B testing, and performance analysis.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Support local marketing initiatives and ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints.

Required Skills

  • Proven working experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on SEO and campaign management.
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console).
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications in Google Ads, Google Analytics, or other relevant digital marketing platforms.
  • Experience with CRM software and marketing automation tools.
  • Fluency in French and/or Lingala (in addition to English) is highly advantageous.
  • Experience working in the telecommunications industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
