Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments, verifying contents against invoices and order forms.
- Accurately sort, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders according to specified instructions, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, in a safe and efficient manner (certification provided if needed).
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including weighing, measuring, and completing necessary documentation.
- Perform inventory counts and assist with cycle counting to maintain accurate stock records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet daily operational targets.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall facility operations.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a warehouse or similar physical labor role
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification or experience operating other material handling equipment
- Previous experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a logistics or warehouse setting
