Key Responsibilities
- Verify and inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Prepare, print, and affix shipping labels, packing lists, and other necessary documentation for outbound freight.
- Accurately maintain inventory records, performing cycle counts and assisting with inventory reconciliation as needed.
- Coordinate with freight carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified) safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all documentation, including customs forms and hazardous material declarations, is complete and accurate.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments, supervisors, and external vendors regarding shipment status and discrepancies.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure and efficient work environment.
- Organize and maintain the shipping area, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks when required, following proper procedures.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse, shipping, or logistics environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs consistently
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of basic inventory control principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Forklift certification (stand-up and/or sit-down)
- Experience with international shipping documentation and customs regulations
- Prior experience in a high-volume distribution or fulfillment center
