Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload cargo, packages, and freight onto and from aircraft containers, pallets, and trucks.
- Sort and stage packages according to destination and priority, ensuring proper handling and care of all shipments.
- Operate various material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and tuggers, after receiving comprehensive training and certification.
- Scan packages and update tracking information accurately using handheld devices.
- Inspect freight for damage and verify counts against manifests or shipping documents.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth and timely operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse and logistics operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 70 lbs) regularly, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift, and stoop for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- High degree of reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or physically demanding role (though not required, it is a plus).
