Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Drive sales and profitability within your assigned department through effective merchandising, inventory management, and promotional strategies.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and inspiring associates to deliver the 'orange apron' experience.
- Oversee department operations, including scheduling, task delegation, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain department standards for cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to associates.
- Monitor inventory levels, manage product flow, and execute replenishment processes efficiently.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security regulations.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as required.
Required Skills
- 2-3 years of retail experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales and achieve targets.
- Solid understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and inventory management.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency with computer systems and retail POS software.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience in a big-box retail environment.
- Familiarity with home improvement products and services.
