Job Description
Adeline Dental Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Dentist to join our thriving practice in Alapere, Lagos. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough oral examinations, diagnose dental conditions, and formulate comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Perform a variety of general dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, crown and bridge preparations, and periodontal treatments.
- Administer local anesthesia effectively and ensure patient comfort throughout all procedures.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventative care, and post-treatment instructions.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential patient records in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
- Adhere to strict infection control and sterilization protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Collaborate effectively with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff to optimize clinic operations and patient experience.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development.
- Address patient concerns and queries with empathy, providing clear explanations and building trust.
Required Skills
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.
- Valid dental license to practice in Nigeria.
- Proven clinical proficiency in general dentistry procedures.
- Excellent diagnostic and treatment planning abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
- Proficiency in dental software and digital radiography.
- Commitment to ethical practice and patient confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of post-NYSC clinical experience in a private dental practice.
- Experience with advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry techniques.
- Familiarity with local language (e.g., Yoruba) to better connect with the community.
- Certifications in specialized dental procedures (e.g., clear aligners, implantology).
- Active participation in dental associations and continuous professional development.
