Job Description

Adeline Dental Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Dentist to join our thriving practice in Alapere, Lagos. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough oral examinations, diagnose dental conditions, and formulate comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Perform a variety of general dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, crown and bridge preparations, and periodontal treatments.
  • Administer local anesthesia effectively and ensure patient comfort throughout all procedures.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventative care, and post-treatment instructions.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential patient records in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
  • Adhere to strict infection control and sterilization protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff to optimize clinic operations and patient experience.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development.
  • Address patient concerns and queries with empathy, providing clear explanations and building trust.

Required Skills

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.
  • Valid dental license to practice in Nigeria.
  • Proven clinical proficiency in general dentistry procedures.
  • Excellent diagnostic and treatment planning abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
  • Proficiency in dental software and digital radiography.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of post-NYSC clinical experience in a private dental practice.
  • Experience with advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry techniques.
  • Familiarity with local language (e.g., Yoruba) to better connect with the community.
  • Certifications in specialized dental procedures (e.g., clear aligners, implantology).
  • Active participation in dental associations and continuous professional development.
