Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze meteorological data, including forecasts, reports, and real-time radar, to assess flight conditions.
  • Calculate fuel requirements, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor the progress of flights, tracking aircraft position, fuel status, and weather changes.
  • Communicate effectively and continuously with flight crews, air traffic control, and other operational personnel.
  • Identify and mitigate potential hazards and operational disruptions, rerouting flights as necessary.
  • Coordinate emergency response procedures and assist in critical decision-making during irregular operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of flight plans, weather briefings, and operational decisions.
  • Stay current with all applicable FAA regulations, company manuals, and aviation industry best practices.

Required Skills

  • Valid FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate
