As a Delivery Rider, you will be the face of Kwik Delivery, responsible for ensuring the timely and secure transportation of various goods, from parcels to packages, across designated routes within Lagos. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages, documents, and other goods to customers within the designated Alaba International and broader Lagos areas.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and Kwik Delivery's safety guidelines at all times.
- Verify the accuracy of delivery items against manifest and ensure proper handling to prevent damage.
- Collect and process payments (cash or digital) accurately when required, providing correct change and receipts.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and dispatch teams, providing updates on delivery status and resolving any issues promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good working condition of your assigned delivery motorcycle/scooter.
- Follow established delivery routes and schedules, utilizing navigation tools as needed to optimize efficiency.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or delivery delays to the operations team immediately.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A (Motorcycle) Rider's Permit/License.
- Ability to confidently and safely ride a motorcycle/scooter.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A working smartphone with data capabilities for app usage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Lagos road networks, especially within the Alaba International axis.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., retail, hospitality) is a plus, but not essential.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
