BRALIMA is seeking an energetic Delivery Rider – Express Courier to join our dedicated team in Tshikapa, Kasaï Province. In this essential role, you will be the face of BRALIMA, responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of products, documents, and other critical items across various locations within Tshikapa and its surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently transport products, documents, and other items to designated locations within Tshikapa and its environs.
  • Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries, optimizing for time and fuel consumption.
  • Verify the accuracy of delivery manifests and ensure all items are accounted for before departure and upon delivery.
  • Collect payments from customers where applicable, process transactions accurately, and issue precise receipts.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, vehicle mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle (motorcycle) to ensure it is in excellent working condition and report any issues.
  • Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents immediately to the supervisor and follow established emergency procedures.
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company safety policies to ensure personal and public safety.
  • Represent BRALIMA professionally and courteously to all clients, partners, and the public, upholding the company's reputation.
  • Assist with loading and unloading items as required, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Handle sensitive documents and valuable goods with utmost care and confidentiality.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during all interactions, addressing inquiries or concerns professionally.

Required Skills

  • Valid motorcycle driver’s license (Category A) with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a delivery rider or courier, preferably within a commercial setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of Tshikapa city routes, shortcuts, and surrounding areas.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions in French or Lingala.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to handle demanding schedules, various weather conditions, and moderate loads.
  • High degree of reliability, punctuality, and responsibility.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle checks and minor troubleshooting.
  • A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • Previous experience working in a logistics or distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with basic inventory management or mobile point-of-sale systems.
  • Multilingual ability, especially Swahili, Tshiluba, or other local dialects relevant to Kasaï Province.
  • Prior customer service experience in a fast-paced or public-facing role.
