As a Delivery Logistics Operator, you will be at the heart of our Windsor distribution center, coordinating the intricate dance of inbound and outbound shipments. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and optimize daily delivery and pickup routes for a fleet of couriers to ensure maximum efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and on-time service.
  • Monitor real-time shipment progress using advanced tracking systems, identifying potential delays or issues and implementing proactive solutions.
  • Dispatch couriers effectively, assigning new pickups, urgent deliveries, or re-routing as operational needs arise throughout the day.
  • Act as a central point of contact for couriers, providing immediate support, guidance, and resolving operational issues encountered on their routes.
  • Investigate and resolve delivery exceptions, discrepancies, and customer service inquiries related to logistics and delivery status.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of shipments, deliveries, operational data, and daily activities, preparing comprehensive reports as required.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with warehouse staff to ensure packages are sorted correctly, loaded efficiently, and dispatched according to plan.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all transportation regulations, company policies, safety standards, and service level agreements.
  • Utilize logistics software and communication tools effectively to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and improve information flow.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, or a related operational role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and methodical approach to identifying and resolving complex issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members, couriers, and management.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing positively to a collaborative team-oriented setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is a strong asset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience with large-scale courier or logistics platforms and proprietary operational systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of local geography, road networks, and traffic patterns within the Windsor-Essex region.
  • A valid G Class Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies or lean logistics.
