Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of packages, parcels, and freight from vehicles and trailers.
- Sort incoming and outgoing shipments efficiently based on delivery routes and destinations.
- Verify package counts and inspect for damages, reporting discrepancies as needed.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse and staging areas, ensuring cleanliness and order.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and effectively (training provided).
- Support couriers in preparing their vehicles for daily routes, including organizing packages.
- Adhere to all company safety procedures and operational guidelines at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals.
- Perform general warehouse duties as required to support logistics operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 70 lbs (32 kg) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic warehouse environment.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading labels and counts.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar operational role.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift).
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
