Job Description

Red Star Express Plc is seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Assistant specializing in Parcel Sorting to join our dynamic warehouse team in GRA, Ikeja. This is a critical, hands-on role that forms the backbone of our delivery network, ensuring that every package reaches its destination efficiently and accurately. As a Delivery Assistant focused on parcel sorting, you will be instrumental in the daily processing of thousands of packages. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving incoming shipments, meticulously sorting parcels based on their destination routes, accurately scanning packages, and ensuring they are correctly staged for dispatch. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming packages and shipments.
- Sort parcels accurately and efficiently according to designated delivery routes and areas.
- Utilize handheld scanners to record package information and update tracking systems.
- Stage sorted parcels for outbound loading, ensuring correct organization and accessibility.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory counts and quality control checks as required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Identify and report any damaged or misdirected packages promptly.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 25kg, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading labels and counts
- Time management and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or parcel handling environment
