Key Responsibilities
- Perform various manual tasks related to crop cultivation, including planting, weeding, harvesting, and sorting.
- Assist with the care and feeding of livestock, ensuring their welfare and adhering to strict animal husbandry standards (if applicable to the specific farm).
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment under supervision, following safety guidelines.
- Carry out general farm maintenance, including fencing, building repairs, and cleaning of farm facilities.
- Monitor crop health, identifying and reporting any signs of pests, diseases, or nutritional deficiencies.
- Assist with irrigation systems, ensuring proper watering schedules for crops.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including hours worked, tasks completed, and observations.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with other farm staff and supervisors to achieve daily and seasonal objectives.
- Assist with the preparation of produce for market, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
