Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing large datasets from various sources.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights into user behavior and product performance.
- Develop and implement basic statistical models and machine learning algorithms under guidance.
- Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with senior data scientists, engineers, and product managers to define problem statements and analytical approaches.
- Support A/B testing design, execution, and analysis to evaluate the impact of new features.
- Contribute to documentation of data processes, models, and analytical results.
- Participate in team discussions and continuous learning initiatives to grow your data science expertise.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong programming skills in Python (with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) or R.
- Solid understanding of fundamental statistical concepts (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression analysis).
- Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts and algorithms (e.g., linear regression, clustering, decision trees).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau, Looker).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting data insights.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with big data technologies like Spark or Hadoop.
- Knowledge of experimental design and A/B testing methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems, specifically Git.
- Completed internships or projects demonstrating practical application of data science techniques.
