Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing large datasets from various sources.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights into user behavior and product performance.
  • Develop and implement basic statistical models and machine learning algorithms under guidance.
  • Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior data scientists, engineers, and product managers to define problem statements and analytical approaches.
  • Support A/B testing design, execution, and analysis to evaluate the impact of new features.
  • Contribute to documentation of data processes, models, and analytical results.
  • Participate in team discussions and continuous learning initiatives to grow your data science expertise.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Strong programming skills in Python (with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) or R.
  • Solid understanding of fundamental statistical concepts (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression analysis).
  • Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts and algorithms (e.g., linear regression, clustering, decision trees).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau, Looker).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting data insights.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience with big data technologies like Spark or Hadoop.
  • Knowledge of experimental design and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Experience with version control systems, specifically Git.
  • Completed internships or projects demonstrating practical application of data science techniques.
