Job Description

Are you an experienced and proactive maintenance professional ready to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced industrial environment? Dangote Group is seeking an exceptional Maintenance Supervisor to join our team immediately at our facility in Marina Beach, Calabar. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in industrial machinery and plant systems.
  • Coordinate and schedule daily maintenance activities, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to production schedules.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, procure necessary components, and maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and contribute to the implementation of new technologies and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • HND or B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification in maintenance management (e.g., CMRP, CRL).
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or other CAD software.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian industrial safety regulations.
  • Experience working with heavy industrial machinery and equipment specific to the cement or food processing industries.
