Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, install, and maintain electrical control systems and components.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all electrical equipment and machinery.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues, ensuring prompt resolution to minimize downtime.
- Implement and adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards for electrical installations and operations.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure optimal performance and compliance of electrical systems.
- Prepare technical reports, schematics, and other documentation related to electrical projects and maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, production staff, and management.
- Participate in the planning and execution of new projects, system upgrades, and capacity expansions.
- Monitor energy consumption and propose solutions for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
- Train junior technicians and operators on proper electrical equipment usage and safety procedures.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, control systems, and industrial automation.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in electrical engineering (e.g., NFPA 70E).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional engineering license (COREN registration is a plus).
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Knowledge of high-voltage systems and protective relaying.
- Experience in the cement, manufacturing, or heavy industry sectors.
- Certifications in industrial automation or specific electrical software/hardware.
