Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, install, and maintain electrical control systems and components.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all electrical equipment and machinery.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues, ensuring prompt resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Implement and adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards for electrical installations and operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure optimal performance and compliance of electrical systems.
  • Prepare technical reports, schematics, and other documentation related to electrical projects and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, production staff, and management.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of new projects, system upgrades, and capacity expansions.
  • Monitor energy consumption and propose solutions for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
  • Train junior technicians and operators on proper electrical equipment usage and safety procedures.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in an industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, control systems, and industrial automation.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in electrical engineering (e.g., NFPA 70E).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional engineering license (COREN registration is a plus).
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of high-voltage systems and protective relaying.
  • Experience in the cement, manufacturing, or heavy industry sectors.
  • Certifications in industrial automation or specific electrical software/hardware.
