We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-centric Ticketing Officer to join our dynamic team in Uyo. Your primary responsibilities will include handling customer inquiries, managing flight reservations, issuing tickets, processing changes and cancellations, and assisting passengers with various travel-related concerns. You will be expected to possess an in-depth understanding of Dana Air’s fare rules, policies, and flight schedules, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all transactions.

This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process flight reservations, ticket sales, re-issuance, and cancellations efficiently and accurately.
  • Provide comprehensive information to passengers regarding flight schedules, fares, baggage allowances, and other travel requirements.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally and courteously, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Process payments for tickets and other services, maintaining strict adherence to financial procedures and policies.
  • Verify passenger travel documents to ensure compliance with airline and immigration regulations.
  • Generate daily sales reports and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  • Collaborate with airport operations and other departments to ensure seamless passenger flow and service delivery.
  • Stay updated on Dana Air's product offerings, fare changes, and promotional activities.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in ticketing, reservations, or a customer service role within the aviation or hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail for accurate transaction processing.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or HND in Travel & Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • IATA foundation diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Familiarity with local travel regulations and immigration procedures.
  • Ability to speak multiple Nigerian languages is an added advantage.
