Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload passenger baggage, cargo, and mail onto and from aircraft.
- Operate ground support equipment (e.g., belt loaders, baggage carts, pushback tractors) as trained and certified.
- Sort and transport baggage to designated areas, including baggage claim and transfer points.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and security procedures.
- Inspect baggage for proper tagging and ensure accurate routing.
- Communicate effectively with flight crew, gate agents, and other ground staff.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, damage to baggage, or safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the ramp area and baggage handling facilities.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 70 lbs) frequently and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, with punctuality being essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
