Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers visiting the branch, providing prompt, courteous, and accurate assistance.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries regarding account balances, transaction history, banking products, and services efficiently.
  • Assist customers with account opening procedures, processing deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and other banking transactions.
  • Educate customers on our digital banking platforms, self-service options, and the benefits of various financial products.
  • Professionally handle customer complaints and feedback, escalating complex issues to appropriate departments for swift resolution.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of Zenith Bank’s products, services, policies, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all bank regulations, internal policies, and security protocols in all customer interactions.
  • Accurately process all customer requests, ensuring proper documentation is completed and filed.
  • Actively identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell relevant banking products and services based on customer needs.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, working effectively with team members to achieve branch objectives.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and customer-centric approach.
  • Proven ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve customer issues under pressure.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or any related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with banking software, core banking applications, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Knowledge of local languages prevalent in Port Harcourt (e.g., Igbo, Ikwerre) is an added advantage.
