Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and their families via phone, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to patient inquiries regarding appointments, billing, insurance, and general services.
  • Effectively de-escalate challenging situations with empathy and professionalism, ensuring patient satisfaction.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using our electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Provide clear and concise information about AdventHealth services, locations, and procedures.
  • Document all patient interactions thoroughly and accurately in the designated systems.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve complex patient issues.
  • Adhere strictly to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to changes in healthcare policies, procedures, and service offerings.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or call center environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong active listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated empathy and patience when interacting with diverse callers.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
