Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively and enthusiastically in the comprehensive Credit Analyst training program, absorbing all provided knowledge and practical skills.
- Learn to conduct preliminary financial analysis of prospective and existing clients' credit applications, focusing on key performance indicators.
- Assist in gathering, verifying, and organizing financial and non-financial information necessary for thorough credit assessments.
- Support senior analysts in preparing detailed credit proposals and reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to bank policies.
- Develop a deep understanding of credit risk policies, procedures, and relevant local and international regulatory frameworks.
- Contribute to the ongoing monitoring of existing credit portfolios for early identification and mitigation of potential risks.
- Collaborate effectively with relationship managers, legal teams, and other internal stakeholders to facilitate efficient and seamless credit processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, economic indicators, and market developments impacting credit risk in Mozambique and beyond.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties and special projects as required to support the Credit Risk team's objectives and strategic initiatives.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a logical approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Portuguese.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- High level of integrity, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy.
