Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist members in a friendly and efficient manner, providing product information and locating items as needed.
- Process member transactions accurately and efficiently at the checkout, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked, priced correctly, and visually appealing.
- Assist with merchandise stocking, rotation, and display setup according to company standards.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (with proper certification and training) to move merchandise safely, if applicable.
- Respond to member inquiries and resolve issues promptly, escalating complex situations to management when necessary.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and loss prevention protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily operational goals and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Assist with inventory counts and product returns as required.
- Contribute to a positive shopping atmosphere by ensuring the warehouse is clean, well-lit, and inviting for all members.
Required Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent customer service orientation with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
- Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and inventory management.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Punctuality and reliability with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong team player with a cooperative and positive attitude.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, customer service, or warehouse setting.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is a significant asset for our Montreal location.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
