Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of departmental budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
- Conduct thorough analysis of actual costs versus budgeted costs, identifying and explaining variances.
- Support the development and implementation of cost-saving initiatives across various operational areas.
- Prepare regular cost reports and present findings to management to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Assist in the review of procurement processes and supplier contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in inventory management and reconciliation activities to minimise waste and optimise stock levels.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and sales teams to understand operational costs and financial impacts.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Continuously learn and apply new cost control methodologies and best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, formulas, data analysis)
