RBC Royal Bank is actively seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Corporate Policy Analyst to join our dynamic team in Windermere, Edmonton. This pivotal role is essential for maintaining our robust governance framework, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization. As a Corporate Policy Analyst, you will be instrumental in the research, development, interpretation, and implementation of critical corporate policies. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of industry best practices, regulatory changes, and internal business requirements to inform policy development.
  • Draft, review, and update corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to gather input, facilitate consensus, and ensure successful policy implementation.
  • Assess the impact of new or revised policies on business operations, technology systems, and employee training requirements.
  • Monitor policy effectiveness and adherence, identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on policy matters for senior management and relevant committees.
  • Support the development and delivery of training programs related to new or updated policies.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on corporate policy interpretation and application for internal queries.
  • Maintain organized documentation of policies, approvals, and related communications.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in policy analysis, compliance, risk management, or a similar corporate governance role, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with an ability to interpret complex regulations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or professional designation (e.g., CRM, CPA, PMP).
  • Familiarity with Canadian financial regulatory frameworks (OSFI, FINTRAC, etc.).
  • Experience with policy management software or content management systems.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and enterprise risk management.
