Key Responsibilities
- Assist in writing, editing, and proofreading marketing copy for various channels, including website, email campaigns, social media, advertisements, and print materials.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm content ideas and develop creative concepts that align with RFCU's brand voice and strategic objectives.
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and member demographics to inform content creation and ensure relevance.
- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, compliance regulations, and best practices for SEO and accessibility.
- Support the content calendar management, helping to organize and track content production and publication schedules.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on content drafts from other team members.
- Maintain an organized library of content assets, templates, and style guides.
- Participate in team meetings, contributing insights and ideas to enhance marketing efforts.
- Assist with other marketing and communication tasks as needed to support departmental goals.
Required Skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and engaging copy for various platforms and audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote environment.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and how they apply to content creation.
- A portfolio or samples of previous writing work (academic or professional) are highly encouraged.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
- Prior experience (internship or professional) in copywriting, content creation, or a marketing support role.
- Familiarity with financial services terminology and compliance regulations.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) or project management tools.
- Knowledge of AP style guide.
